Another Mere Sunset...

I'm not too sure what it is about this place, but it always seem to provide beautiful and very photogenic sunset, I do love Martin Mere...

More Gulls...

I am a very big fan of gulls, very photogenic and very interesting but once you get into identifying them, especially the rarer more unusual species it is a mind field of confusion and probable mistakes, so with the sun making a few appearances this week, I decided to make the most of it and go take a few more snaps...

A New Little Friend...

Since I came back from Christmas, we've had a squirrel stopping by to have a feed on our table, taking nuts and burying them near by, it never fails to make me smile when I draw back the curtains and see him/her there... not to sure were he came from, were surround my main roads but he/she come back every day :) even though I live in uni accommodation I still like to do my part ...

Time Lapse, Panning Room...

Recently I'v really wanted to have a go at some time lapse photography but not been sure what projects to undertake so as I was sat around thinking, I thought I'd have a play around.

First attempt and a long way to go but its a start, tomorrow I'm buying a plant :)

A Night On The Dock...

Since I have moved to Preston I've wanted to got and photograph the Dock as night but never had chance to due to weather or work but with a day off tomorrow and the weather dry and calm, I headed down for a little photography session.

As this is my first ever attempt at night photography, I an quite happy with the results...

Swans on the Mere...

I Love these birds, I can't get enough of photographing them at my local WWT centre...

as you well no an Iceland gull has been wintering on Preston Dock and I can't help but love it, after seen the Red-neck, I had a walk down to see if it was still around, as sure enough...

Thanks to Andy Pryce, I had a tick to see the Red-necked Grebe at Fairhaven lake, my first tick of 2011, and hopefully not the last, cracking bird showing very well...

I took this shot while walking around Birkacre, there was a very thick icy fog hanging around, presenting some very atmospheric pictures and before you think in this picture was taken in colour... that's how gloomy it was...
